Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Expense Manager account and all personal data directly from inside the app. No email request is required — the deletion is fully self-service.

How to delete your account (in the app)
Follow these exact steps on your Android device:
- Open the Expense Manager app.
- Sign in with the account you want to remove.
- Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
- Select Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the warning and tap Confirm Delete to finish.
Once you confirm, your account is immediately signed out and scheduled for permanent deletion. This action cannot be undone.
What data is permanently deleted
When you use Delete Account, the following data is erased from our servers:
- Your profile: name, email, avatar and Google Sign-In identifier.
- All transactions, categories, wallets, budgets and recurring entries.
- AI chat history and personalised spending insights.
- Uploaded receipt images and file attachments.
- App preferences, device sync tokens and cloud backups.
Retention period
Deletion is completed within 7 days of the moment you tap Confirm Delete in the app. After this period, no personally identifiable data about you remains on our systems.
Limited data may be kept for a short time strictly for legal and security reasons:
- Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you — kept indefinitely.
- Fraud-prevention and legal-compliance logs — kept up to 90 days, then permanently erased.
- Encrypted backups — automatically purged within 30 days.

The in-app Delete Account button is the official and preferred way to remove your data. If the button is unavailable on your device, please update to the latest version of Expense Manager from Google Play.
